Dentures

Dentures are false teeth that fit snuggly over your gums and restore the appearance and function of your original teeth. They are specifically designed to fill the gaps of any missing teeth.

At Adelaide Hills Family Dental we will work with you to determine your dental needs and what kind of dentures may work best for you. This will depend on what kind of tooth loss you may have. There are several different denture options.

Full Dentures

If you need to replace an entire set of natural teeth on either the upper or lower jaw or both, then full dentures would be the option for you. The sets include full rows of replacement teeth. They are usually removable however can be anchored via dental implants as well.

Partial Dentures

If you have only a few missing teeth, partial dentures may be the best option for you. These are used to fill in the gap of one or two teeth. They can either be removable or fixed, by anchoring to crowns placed on adjacent natural teeth. A removable partial denture is attached to a plastic base and has attachment teeth on the plastic base. This fits comfortably in the mouth and attach to surrounding teeth.

Adelaide Hills Family Dental will work with you over several appointments to ensure dentures are properly and safely placed. They must be comfortable and secure and we will work hard to make sure your dentures are well-fitted and natural looking.
